alternative style glasses for better vision (not pinholes)

I have worn contacts for almost 10 years and recently had to switch to
glasses due to infection\blepharitis. My intolerability for the
inferiority of glasses resulted in experimentation of taking out the
lens of my glasses and holding the close to my eyes and against my nose
and near my eyebrows to see if vision would improve. This closeness to
my eyes makes things significantly more similar to contacts, with a few
problems. Keeping the lens in place with strong tape works, but this is
obviously not something that one would want rather than to temporarily
try things. I have have looked for an alternative style lens that
brings the lenses closer to the eye in this manner, but have found
nothing. Preferably the entire visual field will be covered as well.
Any help here? Thanks.

Refractive surgery? That gets the correction as close to your eyes as
you can physically get.

I agree with RT. If your so used to contacts that you cant tolerate the
lack of parphierl vision of glasses and the minification, you may want
to consider PRK if you are less than -6 or IOLS if you are a high myope
of -6 or more(or if you are 50+ in age) If you are less than -2, just
go bare eye, youll be able to see quite well uncorrected(except for
driving)
