Another Floater Question - Laser Treatment

Folks,
I have seen several posts about Laser treatment for floaters.

I have heard of a YAG-Laser surgery which "cuts" attached floaters
with a laser so they may fall to the bottom of the viterous humor and
essentially go-away.

Questions:
a) Anyone had any luck with this procedure?
b) If so, what were the floaters like before and after?

I have also heard of another type of laser surgery (via news threads)
that purpotedly blasts floaters (asteroids style) into smaller
floaters. Questions:

a) Is this the same laser as the YAG laser?
b) What kind of success have people seen with this?

Thanks
Dave
