Beware buying on-line from kounopt.com

Disclaimer: This post reflects my personal experience with Kounopt.com
(Jim Kounnas). It is not meant to be slanderous or a personal attack.
It is based on the facts of my particular dealings with this company.

Take it for what it is worth.

It is my personal opinion that you should avoid doing business with
Kounopt.com.

After I placed my order, the only contact between the company and
myself was an order confirmation and a charge to my credit card.

In the weeks after I placed my order there was NO RESPONSE from the
company via e-mail, phone, voicemail or on-line help, despite multiple
repeated attempts.

I completely and thoroughly documented each attempt to contact them
via e-mail, including the READ RECEIPTS that were sent from the
KOUNOPT domain.

I have no idea if they received my order, nor was I been able to check
the status of my order. It appears to me that there are no actual
human beings behind this site.

I had my credit card company remove and dispute the charge. I also
sent a cancellation e-mail to Kounopt.

So based on this experience, I do not recommend using Jim Kounnas
(Kounopt.com).

Do beware of this website - I had a very similar experience. I ordered a pair of glasses from kounopt.com about two months ago and have received nothing. I've tried both emailing and calling, but with no response.

It seemed sketchy so I searched the internet to see if I was the only one with this problem, and I came across this post.

So it's confirmed by two people that this company is inactive.

I would not buy from Jim Kounnas Optometrists if I were you.

I hope I can get a refund from my credit card company.

I've had the same experience buying from these people - I placed an order about a month ago

I just tried to follow up the shipment however I got a failure message from the email address and the website has now disappeared

I'm amazed this has been going since 2003!

Any suggestions who to report these people to?
