Gah.
I've basically just returned to work after two and a half weeks off sick.
Maybe it's the fluorescent lights, but Im looking at things, well, the
written word, hand writing with pens, or even printouts, and at 40cm
away, they look like a cheap photocopy or a scan, with softened edges
and colour alignment issues.
But Im looking at the computer monitor here, and it looks fine, no
problems what so ever. They've just upgraded to LCD screens. I hope
that's not anything to do with it?
My eyes do feel tired, but the idea that I could read the screen better
than the paper is bizarre.
And it seems to be certain types of print. For example, I can read the
newspaper fine from the same distance.
Now, I do have a pair of weak glasses in line with what my minor results
were, the slight astigmatism, and the slight hyperopia I think it is,
long sightedness, and things look fantastic.
Why have things deteriorated so much? Am I just getting used to
fluorescent tubes again, or to LCD screens? I fail to see how my
eyesight has deteriorated so much over the past two weeks. My eyes do
feel tired (even though I've had two weeks off! Why should the screen be
fine, and the newspaper fine and hand written or other printed material
suck? And why does it only seem to be blue and black that's more
distorted than others?
This is puzzling me, and quite concerning me the fact that it's only
certain things.
Any ideas what's going on?
Thanks
Simon
