I wear Extreme H2O in a -7 sph, and with the newest box, I find that
the lens tends to dry in the center--where the transition to greater
power is---and that part of the lens goes opaque. When I use re-
wetting drops, they hydrate the lens material for about 5 minutes,
then it dries again. I then take out the lens, and I can see the
opaque area.
Thinking it's deposits or something, I usually clean it with Opti-
Cleaner (rub both sides), rinse thoroughly, and re-insert the lens.
But 15 minutes later, it's going opaque again. (I use the enzyme drops
in the disinfecting solution every night, too).
These aren't old lenses--less than a week. I have worn Extreme H2O for
about 4-5 years off and on, and haven't had this problem before. I
first thought it was my dry-eye problem---not hydrating the lens--but
I've had dry eyes for years, too, and this hasn't happened like this
before.
I'm suspecting a manufacturing defect--got a bad box of Extremes a
couple of years ago---they were all "bubbly"----really painful. But
this is different.
Anybody else had this problem?
Thanks,
