Sorry, I forget the correct term for this. I recently started
Jazzercise, and it's difficult learning all the routines. I've been in
several studios and am having a hard time maintaining binocular vision
(distance) in the studios that have fluorescent light. It's a bit
better where there's a window and sunlight coming in. I'm
concentrating, moving rapidly, etc. and I end up "seeing double" which
doesn't help following the instructor's moves.
I am myopic (-8.25) and wear progressives and that might be part of
the problem, too---so much movement that I don't know where to look
through the lenses. Also, last time at the eye doctor, I was told that
I needed a lot of prism correction (which I never had before). I
didn't get it, because 99% of the time I see fine and my eyes work
together as they're supposed to.
Does anyone else have this problem---not being able to focus well
during vigorous exercise or while concentrating really hard on it?
I've thought about going without glasses, but it'd be pretty hard to
follow along in class. I don't have problems after class at all---
everything seems normal.
Just wondering,
