Eye infection and contact lenses

I've caught an eye infection in my left eye. I wear bausch&lomb
purevision lenses. I've been wearing them succesfully 24-7 for the
last three months. This is the first time something goes wrong.

After treating the infection and resuming to contact lenses, should
I throw away the almost new lense I've been wearing in my left
eye or is it enough if I just disinfect it with a lens solution?

Check with the doctor treating the infection, but the answer is most likely
throw it away.

What were the symtoms of the infection, and how was it treated?

I had redness and yellow/green discharge from the eye. I was
given chlorampenicol drops (antibiotics) for it.
