Hi i was disgnosed with glaucoma and have been under treatmnt for a
month now. my doctor prescribed lumigan that got my iop from 30 down
to 19. however, my vision from my glasses seem worse so he checkd
again and my prescription got a little worse. he advised me to come
back in 3 months for pressure check and he'll finalize my glasses
prescription since it's only been a month from using lunigan. does
decreasing iop change one's prescription? TIA

Glaucoma meds can somewhat affect an eyeglass prescription. The effect is
usually not profound-- about 0 to 0.50 diopters which is what you report is
reasonable. The cause(s) can be multifactoral including a slight movement
in the refractive elements in the eye, swelling of the cornea, changes in
ciliary muscle tone, etc. These all can cause adjustments in the refractive
state of the eye. It is reasonable for your doctor to suggest that you
adapt longer to your glaucoma meds and then recheck your refraction after an
additional time period.
