opinion on the new Softlens 59?

I saw them selling for $12.43 per box at sam's club. why are they so
cheap? are they infrior lenses comapare to acuvue, acuvue 2, biomedic
55, softlens 66.....? anyone has experience with these lenses? thanks

these lenses are a new name for Bausch & Lomb 2-week lenses which have been
around for about 3-4 years. The lenses were just "relaunched" given a new
name a new packaging. The lenses are quite good. I find them comparable to
Acuvue 2, Focus weekly, etc. They had a big black eye among patients and
doctors primarily because of the old packaging-- they used to come in strips
that were glued to a metal foil top and they were difficult to open.

The lenses are pretty good. The low pricing is probably just an incentive
to sell more and doesn't infer anything about the quality.
