During a cataract surgery my close family developed pressure in the
eye and a implant was rejected, after multiple attempts the Dr. gave
up.

In the process he damaged the Iris, place holder for the implant I
guess and for this reason it is not possible for the eye to take
another implant, we are told.

We are prescribed contact lens +11 and glasses with +2.50 SPH, for
that operated eye

What other options are out there to get back vision in eye that
rejected the implant, even with the prescription there is little / no
improvement?

The other eye has normal vision and has mild symptoms of cataract, we
are nervous to attempt a surgery in the near future.

- Thanks, JP

If healing has not finished, the eye may improve. If there was damage to
the retina or optic nerve, vision may not improve. The answer to the
question of whether vision can be restored in the operated eye depends
entirely upon the condition of the eye and can only be answered by someone
who has examined the eye. Ask the surgeon if vision can be expected to
improve.

You should get an opinion from one or two more surgeons, if possible.
