Just a few questions from a new lurker. Does anyone know if Bausch and
Lomb will produce a toric division II type contact for the PureVision
brand? I guess 6.0 is as high as they go.

Another quick question. My prescription is -7.75od, +1.00 cyl, and 98
axis and -9.25os, +2.00 cyl and 84 axis. How much would I benefit from
going from a 1.67 index to a 1.70 or 1.74 index lense?

Thanks a bunch

Jon

1) PureVision is coming out in a generation 2 material sometime soon
(1-2 years).

2) Definitely worth the money to go to 1.74. Your script is in the
stock range for Nikon lenses, so should only cost ~$350.00 (Oz
dollars). Made a pair in -10.00 and -10.50 the other day and they look
brilliant. Make sure you keep the frame small and you want the frame pd
to match your pd. Frame pd is the eye size and bridge added together.
Your pd=64, frame pd=64: glasses are the thinnest you will get. Your pd
=64, frame pd=72: lenses are getting thick at the edge.
