Reading glasses power?

Is there a difference in power between a pair of 1.5 reading glasses
like they sell in the drugstore and a pair of +1.5 diopter sphere
prescription glasses for farsightedness?

No, the power is the same. As Mike posted, there may be other
differences. They may or may not make a difference for an individual
person.

Try them out and see how they work. I've used them for years and have
had great success with them. The technology for making them is so
highly developed that you won't see ripples, sags, or anything else.
And they're so cheap you can just leave them all over the house...

And the ones from the 99-Cents-Only stores are pretty good AND you can stack
them up to make splinter removal easier!
