see better when pull glasses outward

I am very myopic and notice I see thing little sharper when i pull my
glasses outward about slightly. Does that mean I need new prescription
or eyes getting worse?

PS I am age 53 and been couple years+ since last exam.

Probably yes.

if tilting your glasses sharpens things, you may be about half a
diopter undercorrected now. If you are happy with your glasses, do
nothing. If you want stronger, get another eye exam

wrong dumbass. go eat some mushrooms and visit some girly sites on the
internet.

if you see better in your glasses when you pull them away from your
eyes your prescription is likely too strong. it is common for a person
to lose some of their nearsightedness at about your age. you should go
to your eye doctor and tell them of your observations and then get a
new prescription. you will be able to see better at intermediate
distances as well as distance with the new prescription.

That does not make sense. Improved acuity under those circumstances
indicates a weaker (more positive) prescription will do. The virtual image
produced by the lens moves further away from the eye as the lens is moved
out. If the lens is tilted, some astigmatism might be introduced.

I thought he said he tilts his glasses so the bottom is closer to his
eyes. If he pushes his glasses down his nose then he needs weaker
glasses. If he is tilting them or pushing them tight up to his nose, he
needs stronger

Most likely you need reading glasses. It is comon for myopes to push
their glasses away when reading.
