Shimmer Issue after Laser Surgery to Correct Tears

Hello,
I have noticed when I go into a very bright room - for a brief instant
the light shimmers and then stabilizes. Right now it's merely a
curiousity thing and not any real problem.

I recently had laser surgery to correct retinal tears.

I think the shimmer issue is from the Laser Surgery as I didn't notice
it before.
Also I managed to find a few snippets of info on the internet that
lead me to believe that this will go away with time.

a) Is this likely to go away with time?
b) Is it normal?
c) Will it get worse (i.e. affect day to day) before it gets better?
d) What causes it, was there some normal damage done to the eye that
is causing it?
e) I assume it is not a symptom of retinal tearing like
"flashes/floater" symptoms?

Thanks
Dave

I have similar shimmer effects with my IOL implants. Interesting, as I was
unable to describe the effect clearly until reading your post. I have
noticed it since cataract surgery 3 months ago.
Thanks, Good luck!
