There are no atheists in a foxhole

I'll take it for granted that all of you know what that means (except
Otis, who is clearly too stupid to pour water out of a shoe that has
the instructions etched on its heel).

Think about that statement vis-a-vis Uncle Otie.

He spends his ENTIRE "adult life" railing against the eye care system,
and yet ... when it's HIS turn in the foxhole (cataracts), he rushes
to them, crying like a little baby, for help.

Were it not FOR the system that Otis daily and vehemently derides, eye
doctors would likely have prescribed a thorough bleeding, a few
magical elixirs, and a vacation in a drier climate -- perhaps leaving
Uncle Otie *genuinely* blind, rather than just intellectually blind,
as he is.

Were (Scr)Otis to have been treated by a practitioner with such
disregard for the scientific method as HE has, they'd likely have
tried to remove his cataracts by affixing and quickly removing duct
tape ... or some similar method.

The hypocrisy of this idiot -- like his abject ignorance -- simply
knows no bounds.
