Usefulness of yellow tinted glasses?

I gather yellow tinted glasses supress blue images which are harder to
focus. So marksman use them, etc. But there is a natural yellowing in
the protein of eye lenses due to age, so at what age are lightly
tinted (10%) yellow glasses redundant?

Any other thoughts of advantages of any non-grey tint to glasses (on
the light side)? Do rose tints really make some people happy? Maybe a
yellow tint is actually dangerous, because blue cones are already
weaker in detecting blue light than other cones for their own colors?

Well, it's my visual impression by looking through these glasses that
the yellow continues to help sharpness at a tint that is way yellower
than you would want to look through full time. So the way to tell if
they're redundant is put them on and see if you see any more clearly.

I think yellow would be a mistake at night, when supposedly the
shorter wavelengths are more needed for vision.
