Wide temple arms as dangerous

I think the wide temple arm fashion is very bad, and driving with them
should be banned. I mean the plastic ones that are as wide as the
lense is tall. What difference are they from blinders on a horse? If
someone crashes into your car wearing them, I urge you to snap a
picture of them and sue.

I know a certain M.T. didn't like my complaints about narrow
fashionable frame widths, but this is worse than lacking lense
coverage - you peripheral vision is clobbered. Watching your vehicle
blind spot or turning your head to backup is compromised with these
silly things.

Dear M.T., I can stand with my back to the wall with my arms
outstretched and not see my hands. But bending my hands away from the
wall, I can see my fingers while staring straight ahead - no eye
movement and about 160 or so degree vision. How could baseball be
played without such peripheral vision? How many children are in
graveyards now because drivers don't use peripheral vision backing out
of driveways (common accident in my baileywick).
