I have a 15 yr old son that was diagnosed last year with an Optical Pit with Macular detachment in his left eye. Up until then his vision was 20/20. Over the summer his vision went to 20/400. In Sept. he had surgery (neither laser nor gas bubble). Eyesight went to 20/20. A few weeks ago he began complaining about pain and blurry vision. Doc gave his prednisone drops. He's been under a lot of stress - he's missed a great deal of school due to seeing doc 50 miles from home weekly. Doc seems to think that his problem is stress related not truly physical. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
