Hello, I am gonna start with a little background. I'm a 26 year old woman who had very good vision up until I turned 20,never worn glasses or contacts. Then after a period of studying for some exams I experienced blurry distance vision when looking up from the papers I was reading. And since then I experience the blurry distance vision on many occasions, even after working on computers for as little as 1 hour. Had 2 eye exams in the past month. One turned a -0.5 sphere in both eyes even after 3 drops of 1% tropicamide while the other turned a +0.00 in one eye and a -0.25 in the other. In my opinion the visual acuity is the same in both eyes, about 20/25 or 20/30. What could be causing these fluctuating prescriptions? Could I have a small hypertropia that my eyes compensate for? I can attach the results from the auto refractometer measurements if it helps. Did a test with -0.5 lenses and while I see better with them I don't see as well as I used to and my eyes were hurting during the try on in the ophthalmologist's office, also the image I see through the glasses is a bit distorted towards the edges. -0.25 also gives better vision but the distortion stays and depending on the day sometimes I find it perfect sometimes it doesn't help much. I thought it didn't make much of a difference when I had the first eye exam but found it made the letters very sharp during the second eye exam. What gives?? No one seems to be knowing how to figure it out.
