Any generic eye drops that works as well as patanol?

My eye doc precribed me patanol for itching eyes and it works
great but it is so expensive. any other eye drop that works equally
well witout costing an arm and a leg? TIA

unfortunately no!

 

Opcon-A (Over the counter) works for me almost as good as Patanol.

Also, FWIW, I had my punta plugged and with more water, my eye allergies
seem to have greatly diminished.

Take caution about prolonged use of Opcon-A. It's a great drug and
reasonably cheap. However, it is not meant for continuous use (stated
on the bottle for occasional use...) as is Patanol. I recently had the
exact same conversation with my OD.

Have you talked to your eye doc about eye lid cleaning. That might help
and it's less than $.01/ day.
