    Hello,

I went to the optometrist yesterday and was given the following prescription:

    OD SPH -7.75 CYL-2.75 x 005
    OS SPH -7.75 CYL-1.50 x 030

My question is regarding my OS axis. The autorefractor at the optometrist read an axis of 16 and a few weeks ago I went to see my ophtamologist for my annual retina exam and the autorefractor there read 17. Moreover my OS axis on my 2 previous prescriptions were 18 and 20. Lastly, I see well with my current glasses (with an axis of 20). It seems my axis never varied much but somehow the axis on the new prescription is quite different.

I would like to know if it's likely that the optometry made an error on the axis? Should I get my eye exam redone?

    Thank you
