I have monocular double vision in my left eye. There's a strong ghost below the main image, for example a horizontal telephone wire. If I view the same scene through my bird watching binoculars, there's absolutely no ghost, vision seems perfect. My optometrist was unable to correct my double vision. My opthamologist assures me the only solution is to replace my natural lens. But he's not able to tell me why the binoculars make the double vision go away. I'd like to be sure there is no non-surgical solution. Any ideas?
