I had conjunctivitis. I think maybe it was viral because drops and oral antibiotics didn’t seem to help. I also had blurry vision intermittently. After the main symptoms subsided I had a routine eye exam for glasses / contacts. I feel like I was maybe still affected with blurry vision. I did not mention that I previously had pink eye to the doc. Could this “throw off” the exam results and result in an inaccurate prescription? I’m wondering if I should ask for a re-exam before I spend money on new progressive lenses and contact lenses.

Yes, conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye, can potentially affect the results of an eye exam. The blurred vision or discomfort, which may affect the patient's ability to provide accurate responses during vision tests. This could impact the assessment of visual acuity or other vision-related measurements. Talk to your optometrist.
