Hi i just had my exam done last week but i forgot to mention to the
doctor that i would like to get fitted with soft conact lens. I would
like to get some opinions here b/4 making the trip back to the doctor.
My prescription is as follows: +2.25 -0.75X175 right eye, +1.25-1.00 X
    017 left eye. with 2.25 add power(i'm 52 y.o.) I can see 20/20 in
each eye with correction. will i get good result with soft contacts
lens? do i need the toric lenses for astigmatism? TIA

are you planning to wear reading glasses over your contacts? If not then
you will need to also discuss bifocal contacts and monovision with your
doctor. You might possibly need a toric correction but your astigmatism is
    borderline so maybe not.

the title of your message said that you are post RK. If that is correct
then you must definitely be checked by your doctor to be sure that
neovascularization along the keratotomy scars does not exist prior to the
contact lens fitting and that is doesn't begin to develop afterward.

yeah i was thinking about monovision since i would like to read as
well as seeing at distance. what is neovascularization? will hard
    contact lens cause that too?
