Color vision test plates?

I have some form of red-green color blindness. In those tests with
the circles of colored dots, I don't see any figure in 4 out of the 5
most common plates. However, I do see distinct red, green and blue,
so I suspect that perhaps I just see a slightly different red and
    green.

I'm curious if there is a method of identifying what wavelengths I see
    as red and green.

What I really want to know is if I see different colors, would it be
possible to adjust some of those test plates such that I can see them
    and color-normal people cannot?
