Hi all! New member here with a problem. I have been wearing a Cooper Proclear Multifocal Toric in my left eye only (B&L Multifocal in the right) for a couple of years now. In June I went for my update appointment and got my prescription for the same Rx as I've had right along. So I ordered a 6 month supply and have had nothing but problems with them like I never had before. This batch is like trying to put plastic wrap in your eye.....so flimsy, they roll up and wad up the minute you put a drop of saline in them and it's hell to get them unrolled. Then if you do, about half the time they curl up in your eye so you have to take them out and start over. I've also had a couple of them actually break apart in my eye or tear when I took them out, and trust me, I'm very gentle. They were not like this in previous years. I contacted the company to see if they had reformulated them and they were not only not forthcoming, they were quite rude. My eye doctor ordered me a sample and specified a different lot, and this one was even worse, if that's possible. I have just spent 10 minutes trying to put it in. It's only October and I only have 2 left of a 6 month supply. I'm about over this!

So I have two questions. 1) Has anyone else had this problem with the lenses *this year*? 2) Is there an equivalent or acceptable substitute? I don't want to go to glasses full time as I see better with this setup of contacts. (2 different brands)

Well, this question is now moot. Saw my eye doc this week and he is also FURIOUS with Cooper. Says he can't get a straight answer out of the sales rep OR anyone else with Cooper and is ready to quit dealing with them completely. He has had other complaints from Cooper wearers.

AND...I am now experimenting with B&L Asphericals and so far I like them better than the previous combination of different brands. A little squinting when I try to read some things but once I get them to a certain place I seem to do okay. Give them another week and if they continue this satisfactory I will be switching for good.
