cornea swelling after astigmatic keratotomy -- how long ?

Discussion in 'Optometry Archives' started by Herbert.Kocks, Jul 31, 2006.

  1. Typically how long does corneal swelling last after astigmatic
keratotomy? When can one expect it not to affect visual acuity?
Ten days after a.k. plus cataract repair, my uncorrected visual
    acuity is still only 20/100.

    Thank you,
    H.K.

Just give it time. You may want glasses to correct your remaining
    refractive error

  3. The doc just called and provided the answer: She had installed
a Crystalens for mid-range, not for distance. I assumed that an
accommodating IOL would include distance, but evidently not.
