Detached Retina

    I have been blind in my right eye my entire life, my retina was detached when I was thirteen. I developed excruciating pain in the eye from about the age of 20 to 27 then after taking up smoking marijuana the pain stopped. I have been smoking since then and I am now 44 but low and behold this morning after 17 years the pain I so vividly remember came back with a vengence. Would love some advice or prognosis if there is an optometrist out there who has heard of this before. I do not have any insurance and that is why I have not been to the doctor....yet.
