I'm very nearsighted and am getting a new glasses made because the old pairs is all scratched up. The OD is using the same rx (-9.00, single vision) but I just found out from the receipt she ordered 1.67 lenses for me. I have no idea why. She said she would make my new pairs as close to my old pairs as possible, same rx, same type of lens and coating, base curve, etc. I'm very concerned. I have been wearing 1.74 for so many years. She tool my glasses to check, I don't understand why she wrongly identified the lenses.

Would the switch from 1.74 to 1.67 cause me headache?
How would the change affect my vision?
I don't want to offend her by asking her to change it to 1.74 unless if it is necessary. I wonder if she thinks 1.67 would provide better vision for me.

    Thanks.
