Having myopia and astigmatism, I have been wearing RGP contact lenses for many years.
Now, I need to find progressive contact lenses...

After several unsuccessful trials, with the latest prescription my vision is perfect with one eye at all distances, yet blurred with the other eye at both short and intermediate distance.

I wonder if I should accept this compromise, as I do not wish to adopt glasses.

The eye where my vision is poorer with the progressive test lenses has more presbyopia and less myopia than the other one. For astigmatism, I have no idea if it is important or not.

Do you think it is possible to find a solution ?
My doctor said nothing can be done, but since I had no difference between the 2 eyes with lenses that are not progressive, I wonder why it should be different now.

I would appreciate any input, experience, advice...
    Thanks in advance

Why not get a second opinion with a more experienced eye doctor like Dr. Alan Carlson at Duke Eye Center? Worst thing that could happen is confirm your first doctor’s assessment and help you accept the fact. Best thing is to find out a better alternative treatment. The website link I gave also has helpful links on general eye care advice, which might be helpful as well. Good luck!
