    HI !
I Wear the focus night and day contact lenses for a month now... i
have to say that these lenses are great but i have some questions...
during this previous month i cleaned these lenses quite a lot, and now
after a month the lenses still don't feel egdy and are unnoticeable
but the problem is that i can feel that there's a constant stinging
feeling in my eyes, what, do you think , is the reason for that? the
fact that i handled the lenses???
i plan on using them for two months a pair, not one month( Previously
when i wore the proclears i wore them for 3 months without any
    problem).
and another point, if i want to remove the n&d lenses for about a day
or so, can i just soak them in Softwear saline ???
    Thanks, in advance, Tom.

  2. I read that you should not rub them. Try to find a no-rub solution for
cleaning the ciba night and days'.

Mine too become uncomfortable too early, because I had rubbed them

Questions like these are best addressed to your fitter, if these lenses are
new to you, your fitter should have scheduled a follow up for a month or two
after starting them. If the eyes are not comfortable, you need to see your
fitter to find out why. Are you sleeping in these lenses or taking them out
    every night?

Soaking overnight in saline is not safe, you should use the disinfecting and
    storage system your fitter recommended.

As someone who has recently started using these (still on the "demo" ones),
I found that very interesting. What specifically causes the breakdown? Is
it accelerated by handling? I.e. if I took them out every night would I
have to replace them more frequently than if I left them in continuously?
Even if using a "no rub" solution?

I think so, I wear N&D for several months, on the first 2 months I
took it out every night, the lens became uncomfortable after 2 weeks.
Now I continuely wear it more than 15 days, it is still comfortable
just like new, only feel a bit dry on morning.

What would be the problem? I take mine out daily and they last for weeks.
I use a hydrogen peroxide cleaning system, and I even rub my lenses.
    Perhaps that is the secret.

    Hi
I have been wearing Focus Night and Day for six months now. At
the beginning I took them out every week and left them in cleaning
fluid overnight. I did not rub them and handled them as little as
possible. For the last two months I have stopped taking them out
altogether and have found that much better.I do put comfort drops in
last thing at night and first thing in the morning. Last month
they were so comfortable I left them in for five weeks.I only
took them out as I thought I should. I personally find that
the less they are handled the better. Hope this helps.
