    Hi,

First of all, I've learned a lot from this newsgroup just reading
through it and rarely participating. It's obvious that some of the
professionals here take their careers seriously, take questions
    seriously, and enjoy their jobs.

Now, onto my question(s)... After reading through here, I decided to
try Focus N&D continuous wear lenses. I've worn them for a little less
than two months now (about 24 days per set of new lenses), but
recently quit and went back to wearing Focus Dailies. The N&D were
great in terms of not irritating my eyes and allowing me to sleep in
them for short periods of time (afternoon naps), but waking up in the
morning became increasingly annoying. I started to experience the
infamous "eye boogers" that other wearers have complained of --
increased amounts of protein build up in the corners of the eyes.

That, and I hated showering with the contacts in. The Focus Dailies
I'm wearing now dry out before the end of the evening, leaving my eyes
feeling a bit irritated -- it's obvious that the daily lenses are not
made of a material as good as the N&D material.

I would like to wear the N&D lenses on a daily wear basis, I think
that would suit me best. That way, if I have to, I can sleep in them
without worrying but otherwise I will take them out each evening.

I've heard from some wearers that daily wear and nightly cleaning of
N&D lenses is not preferred, since the lenses are quite "porous" and
absorb whatever cleaning solution is used. Apparently, this causes
discomfort throughout the course of the day. Is there any truth to
this? And, if so, which lens cleaning solution would you recommend for
the N&D lenses on a daily wear schedule?

    Thanks in advance,

    David

I wear Focus N&D as daily wear, remove them at night, and soak them in a
hydrogen peroxide disinfection system. I rub them with saline in the a.m.
and put them in my eyes. Never had a problem and do not think that the
life is shortened in any way.
