I have been wearing the Focus Night & Days for a few months on a daily wear
basis. After an initial adjustment I have found them to be pretty good
although my eyes do feel somewhat fatigued by the end of the day. I think
I'm on my third pair. For each pair I've had some difficulty with my right
eye about mid way through the month. This has happened with each pair but I
suspect it is coincidental. At first I thought that it was the lens and I
would only be able to wear them for a 2 week period. I changed lenses (left
to right and right to left) and it was still my right eye that was
uncomfortable so figured it was the eye rather than the lens. I gave my eyes
a bit of a rest and they were ok after that. I went on to wear the lenses
for about 5 - 6 weeks with no further problem.

Last night I was out and the right eye seemed off - as if the lens wasn't
sitting properly. I sort of moved it around on my eye and it got a bit
better. By the time I got home it was a bit uncomfortable. I left my
lenses off this morning and put them in about noon. In a couple of hours
the right eye seemed out of focus again so I removed them. I am now wearing
my glasses but I am aware of a slight sensation in the right eye - possibly
dryness. I am going to put them in a little later as I have my running group
and I hate to wear glasses for running. Any idea what is happening here. I
use the AOSept system and have been fairly careful with the cleaning. If it
turns out like the other occasions, the discomfort will simply go away.
Could it be dryness? It seems odd that it happens midway through the life
of the lens. It would be more understandable to me if it happened at the
end of the 4 week period. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Dr. L.,
Thanks for the information. I thought I had a fit problem when I first
tried the lenses but my optometrist insisted that the fit was "perfect". It
must be dryness although I wonder if these symptoms would occur is the lens
    was inside out.

Yes, indeed the symptoms would be similar.
