    Dear Fran,

We have had a good time with these "arguments".

As you know I looked far and wide for some
    "straight" answers.

The preson who supplied them was RETIRED Dr. Raphaelson.

    Why retired?

Because he did not have to "defend" his position -- and
was busy twisting his daughter's arm to use the
    plus consistently.

What impressed me was both his commitment (running
against the traditional method) and his total
commiement to his child's visual welfare.

His story of "the printer's son" convinced me
that how ever dedicated, "trained", and expert,
the real responsibility had to be transferred
back the the preson. Essentially impossible
in terms of "medicine", but not in
    terms of engineering and science.

So our "attempt" at Embry-Riddle, would be
to provide an over-view of these issues
    to the motivated students.

If it were to get started, it should be
    called the "Raphaelson nearisghtedness
prevention study" -- in my opinion.

I always admire a man who stands and fights
against impossible odds. I may not
agree with him, but I do admire him.
