GPC - How long should it take to recover ?

    Hi

I have been suffering from GPC for quite some time now. My eyes are
constantly irritated and burning, especially when in dry environments.

As you are probably aware, GPC is caused by wearing contact lenses.
For that reason I've been completely out of contacts for the last
three months and have been using eyedrops (Zaditen) daily for all that
time. The problem is that my eyes are no better, or worse...

I called my ophthalmologist's office this morning and his secretary
seems to thinks that I just need to wait it out. I'm not so sure.
Three months is a long time to be using eyedrops without seeing any
    improvement, I think

Three months out of contacts has made me think that there might be
other causes for my constantly irritated and burning eyes.

    So my questions are:

    1) How long should it take before I begin to see any improvement ?
    2) Should my doctor be considering other causes (dry eyes, rosacea,
    etc.)

Thank you very much for your reply.

Sounds like good advice. Will do, made an appointment earlier today.

I still do have that white discharge so I think I'll ask my eye
doctor for some steroids, if appropriate.

    Kind regards
