    Hi,

I went for a routine eye sight test and everything was found to be
normal, except when they used the opthalmoscope they found an area of
hyperpigmentation (I dont know the correct spelling of this) in my
right eye about `3-A disc diameter away from the disc'. My health is
fine and I have had no symptoms of anything being wrong anywhere. I
will be getting this checked out by an opthalmologist, but the worry
of what this could be is keeping me awake at night. When I asked the
optician what it was he said he didn't know but it could be a scar
from a previous internal infection or maybe a current infection. Can
anyone advise on what it could be (other than a tumour or something)?
    Many thanks in advance.
