Three labs report different results when I sent
them my RGP contact lens for specifications and I
don't trust the doctors since they have conflicting
    statements.

Do you know how much is the machine that can
determine the base curve of a RGP contact lens? I plan
to purchase one to analyze my own lens stuff. Or
is there other method to determine it like using micro
    ruler or stuff?

How does the machine determine the base curve
of an RGP lens anyway... do they use laser or something. Pls.
    describe the process, thanks.

    Kyle,

Buying a machine to measure the BCR is not that difficult.
Measuring with the help of such a device is not everybodies cup of thea as
    you already noticed.
Ask the persons who checked your lenses what kind of device they used.
If they used the keratometer instead of the radiuscoop it is possible to
    measure "flatter" then prescribed.
The norm is the measurment by radiuscoop.
Also the method to measure the power is a specific one and not equal to
    measurments of normal glasses.
My advise should be to put in the new lenses and have them checked.

    Maybe this helps.
