I have a Tomey topographer. It stores a video image which takes up 400K of
memory. The topographical image must be generated from the video image
each time it is viewed. It is not stored. If I wish to create a jpeg
file, I must print the topography and scan it into a standard editing
program. Perhaps your system is similar.

Thanks for the advice. My Tomey TMS-2 is integrated into the mother board
of a 486 pre-pentium PC, running Windows 95, and memory is limited. Do I
dare even consider something like IranView?
