    Ok Jeff,
I had posted this on Optiboard, and I know you are a regular
there...but I'll copy and paste it here for you. Thanks...

After more than 26 years as a NY/NJ and SC licensed optician, I've
decided to take the Fla. exam. I foolishly let my ABO and NCLE expire
so I've enrolled to retake those again in November. It's tough to hit
the books again after all these years, but alot of the info. from my
old textbooks and school notes are coming back to me as I review. Can
anybody tell me what types of lenses are generally used for the lens
ID portion of the practical? Also I noticed on a sample test that you
are asked to caliper the nasal strap thickness on the datum line of a
lens? What does this refer to? can anyone explain. Any other helpful
tips on what to expect or study for the test would be greatly
    appreciated.
Any info can also be emailed to the below address
    Thanks so much,
    Brian
