And I know I can get lenses cheaper elsewhere. He gave me a
prescription for "Ascend" contact lenses by Coopervision and I can't
find that brand anywhere! I'm suspecting that it's just another name
for a common contact. Can anyone help me figure out what the contact
is? The diameter is 14.5 on my prescription.

Nope, it's just one of Coopervision's multipack disposables. And if you
don't have a written prescription for it, you can't buy it (in the USA)
    anyway.

Your prescription only works for the contact lenses your doctor has you
wearing so you must been wearing Ascend lenses. He is don't nothing
wrong, but it is good you asked here. I hope you can find your lenses
    at a good price.
