I'm 58 and have had myopia all my life. What's strange and I can't get a rational explanation is why today after 4 years my myopia is getting better in both eyes. The optometrist said that this may happen as an incipient cataract was seen in my exam and this alters refraction.
Previous exam 3 years ago(no cataract noticed):
    R (-3.50)
    L (-3.00)
No cylinder or axis on both
    Add: 2.25 on both eyes

Today (early stage cataract found in both eyes):
    R (-3.00)
    L (-2.50)
    R Cylinder 0.25; Axis 0.63
    Add 2.25 on both eyes
