Greetings all,I'm having a problem finding a local shop in this small
town that can replace my lens with a very mild single vision polarized
glass lens. I have a nice frame that fit's me properly so all I need
are the lens. Can anyone here suggest to me whom I need to contact to
order these. Also, what would be considered a fair price for a
0.25/0.75 perscription of this type of lens?

Is there some reason you don't want plastic?

I will take very good care of these, thanks for the advise. The very
best price I've been able to find via the interent today was $90 using
my frames,I'm hoping to find less expensive because of my limited
    budget,is this possible?

  5. Unless there is a new development in optics, I have never heard of polarized
glass. At best, you will have a "naked" polarizing film beteween two pieces
of glass. Polaroid itself will be such a film between two sheets of plastic.

In your explanation that I snipped you go over how the "naked" film is made.
That is not polarized glass. It is what you do with that film to make a thin
    lens that is difficult.
