New Hill Services Optometry Coder SCAM!!!

Discussion in 'Optometry Archives' started by William Stacy, Apr 5, 2006.

  1. Yesterday I received an "offer" to suscribe to the "Optometry Coder's
    Guidebook", marked in large letters "URGENT ATTENTION REQUIRED" and
    TOTAL PAYMENT $299.00.

    In tiny, light print at the bottom the disclaimer "It's your choice:
    this is not an invoice..."

    And worse yet, today I got a phone call from a telemarketer selling the
    same publication. I told her I objected and will NEVER ever order from
    her company due to the grossly deceptive sales techniques. I wonder if
    a staff person had sent in a check, and then I personally accepted the
    phone offer (without knowing about the payment), if they'd have cashed
    both checks and quietly sent me one book...

    Reset system variables:
    tirade="off"
    bp="return to normal"

    (I'm sending ccs to optiboard & odwire)

    telemarketers suck! They have a hard time even hiring telemarketers
    because everyone hates you and want you gone!
