Old and new packages of Acuvue-2

  1. Hello,

I have been using lenses since 1998. So far, I only had Acuvue-2
lenses. When I had my first Acuvue-2, I thought they were monthly (it
was a mistake) and I used them for 1 month, sometimes more (about
40-45 days). I had absolutely no problems with them, my view was
    perfect, no irritation.

My opth checked recently my eyes, and everything was perfect, as she
told me. I was running out of lenses, so I decided to buy new ones,
still Acuvue-2. My first surprise was that the packaging had changed:
I used to have only old boxes, with four lenses in each. The new
package has now 6 lenses in it.

However, since I have my new lenses, my eye feels irritated just a few
days after (8-10 days). Worse, I cannot wear them a whole day: I used
to wear lenses for something like 12-14h in a day (up to 16-18h,
without any problem), and now I cannot wear them more than 6-8h.

I checked up everything else, daily cleaning, lenses metrics... it
doesn't help. Apparently, the new lenses are exactly the sames as the
    old ones.

Does anyone know if something has dramatically changed for Acuvue-2
lenses with the new packagings ?

  2. You are right, I'm french. I may be wrong about 1998, as far as I can
    remember I had A2 since 2000, beyond 2000, I'm not that sure.
Sorry, my mistake again, they were packaged in boxes of 6.
It seems to be the difference I was trying to mention. The old pack
was cubical, the new one is flat.
I'll try to see that tonight. Thanks for the answer.
