opthalmologist put EXPIRED alcon supra clens solution on my lens...urgh

    I went to the opthalmologist today to get checked for an eye
    infection. He said my left lens was dirty. Had me take it out, and put
    it in a case with some disinfectant. He then added Alcon Supraclens.
    When I put the lens back in my eye, it burned and stang my eye.

    I looked at the vial of Supraclens, and it had expired!! The date was
    May 2003. I called Alcon and they said it shouldn't cause any
    permanent damage but my eye is still watering after flushing it out
    with water.

    Any advice?
