    Hello,
My mother had lots of eye redness and a white
line around the inside edge of her cornea.
    The optometrist prescribed tobradex. She
has seen some improvement, but the white line
    is still there.

    Got a couple of Qs:
    1. is tobradex fairly safe? She feels
an itchy sensation now and then.

    2. How many doses of this medication are safe to
take in a 4 day period?

    3. Are there any side effects ? The
written warnings seemed pretty bad. Have
    others experienced any problems

    Thank you,
    c

I had problems with Tobradex. Eyelids puffed up and itched badly then the next day they were on fire. Testing constantly, itching red eyes and slightly blurred vision. Also got blistering on the inside corner if left eye that went down the bridge if my nose slightly. Started day before Christmas and as of Jan 10, still have problems. Left eye is worse. Feel pain in eye a bit, still tearing. The only thing I've found that helps with burning if eyelids is Bag Balm lightly applied. Tobradex is aweful.
