A patient of mine, a photography student, asked me a couple of questions
about the optical performance of the eye relative to digital
photography. I just happened to have the answer---thanks to this
    well-referenced website.

    Resolution: 324 megapixels
    Sensitivity: ISO 800
    Focal Length: F 3.2-3.5

  2. Pardon?
All my life I have believed that it was aperture that was measured in f/
numbers, not focal length. We live and learn, eh?

Sorry, I missed quoted the report, the link included gives details.

It was F stop, assuming a 7mm aperture and a focal length of 22-24mm.
