Hi I've being using frames for 20 years. Would like to change to
semi-rimless if possible with this Rxs. I've been to 2 vision stores
and the sales clerks tell me it is not possible.
    My rxs is OD +4.00 1.75 x 180
    OS +1.50 sph

Anyone have any input on this? Is it at all possible to get rimless,
    semirimless in a + rxs?
    thanks for any help

It is no problem to make this Rx into a nylon fit frame. The issues you do
need to be aware of is there will be a little increase in thicknes due to
the edge needing to be 1.5-2.0mm thick at the thinnest point and the
difference in Rx b/w the 2 eyes/ I personally would use a high index,
polycarbonate or 1.67 material, grind the lenses for thickness and multicoat
    (always multicoat).

It adds a little to the cost, but they will look so much better, and
factored over a year or 2, is not a major expense.

    cheers,
