    Dear list,

    I know of a kind of eye drop made by a German vendor that contains the
    following ingredients: Aqueous extraction from Digitalis leaf;
    Aesculin; boric acid; water. The eye drop is for treating the age
    related macular degeneration. Does any of you know any literatures or
    evidence that those ingredients are effective for ARMD? Thanks in
    advance!

    Medline cited two articles, in German, without abstracts, published in 1972
    for Stullin eye drops. I would think, that 30 years later, if they worked,
    we would know about it.

    To search Medline yourself, see

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/

    As I stated in an earlier post, there is good, recent, evidence for the use
    of certain supplements to slow the progression of ARMD; these are known to
    be effective and you should ask your eye care provider to recommend one. I
    don't know what Stulln costs; the supplements are under $20 US per month.
