    Hi all,

I'm so far pretty satisfied with my RGPs (BOSTON EO) and are quite
comfortable with them except that I see some veins ( very slight, very
little ) show up when I have them on.

I only wear them occassionally and I prefer to work ( programming )
with my glasses. The veins go away (not show up) after I remove the

My question is: "Is there a problem if there are veins showing? As in,
should they not show up AT ALL?" I feel pretty alright in them except
they do feel kind of dry in this colorado climate.

Any chance that they're there all the time and you can only see them
when you're wearing your contacts? I was shocked when I got contacts
after wearing +3 and +5 glasses for 20 years to find out how small my
    eyes are :-(

It seems like they (veins) only show up after wearing the RGPs for a
couple of hours. About 4+hrs maybe? I removed them last night and
checked my eyes this morning and found that the veins aren't showing

I really want to keep these contacts, but if they're detrimental to my
eyes, I'd rather just stick to glasses.

Well, an update, I did see the doc again and asked him about the veins
showing. He said its probably my eyes are just more sensitive and
that I have more surface veins ( i can't remember the term he used )
    than the average person.

He says its ok and i'll be continuing with the RGPs. Thanks all.
